yef Posted June 12, 2017 Share #1 Posted June 12, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hello everyone After reading and googling a lot haven't found a solution. First of all, had problem that sometimes as red light keeps beeping images aren't recording to the card. for example out of 1000 images that i took only 760 appeared on the card (in the camera preview and on laptop preview). This problem did appear only few times (did change cards - it happened with different cards). Then as i did firmware updated the problem did came back (yet, haven't photograph so much since). But now there is another problem , I'm photographing images and also did video test recording - the images appear on the card and the video preview works perfectly, but i can't download the images of the card or preview the video simple - simple not working. I'm working with other cameras and have up to date Adobe cloud system. PLEASE HELP never had anything like that with M9. thank you

Hamad Posted June 12, 2017 Share #2 Posted June 12, 2017 I had this problem once what are you long time but since I moved to a grade or class 10 memory card from SanDisk 32 GB and 64 GB I never had that again I believe it is the speed of the card and the make of the card. Try SanDisk class 10 i think it wont happen again. Format your cards in your camera so its fully recognized by the camera. Sometimes this becomes an issue as well. Good luck. Exodies Posted June 12, 2017 Share #4 Posted June 12, 2017 Not enough information. Here's some random thoughts: Put the sd card in a reader connected to your computer (Mac or pc?). Open the drive with finder or windows explorer. Drag the folder to the desktop. Any errors? Can you see the pictures in the folder? Any sequence numbers missing? Can you open the pictures or movies from the desktop? Don't use a card in more than one camera. After formatting the card for the first time on your computer as an ex-fat drive, you can format it in camera.
jaapv Posted June 12, 2017 Share #5 Posted June 12, 2017 Have you updated your camera to the latest firmware? If not, do so first. My camera runs flawlessly on Lexar Professional 600x and 1000x 16 GB cards. And, as posted above, never switch between cameras without doing a full format to exFAT. If you have trouble getting your cards downloaded (which may be due to the settings of your computer software) use a card reader to transfer your files into a folder on your computer first to open them from there. I'm attaching the error message that Mac pull out as i'm trying to drug the photo folder to the laptop. jaapv Posted June 12, 2017 Share #10 Posted June 12, 2017 OK. Those are thoroughly corrupted files indeed. Before we start assuming that there is something wrong with the camera (which is always possible, but not a given), let's have a look at some other possible causes first. 1. Did you use the card in another camera? 2. If so, did you reformat it to exFAT using Disk Utilty or SDformatter? 3. Did you update your laptop? What operating system are you running? Make sure that the settings are unchanged. 4. Did you try using a new SD card, preferably not too large? For trying out purposes buy an 8 GB or 16 GB card of a reputed brand from a reliable shop -there are plenty of fake cards on the market. If that doesn't solve the problem try resetting the camera (last screen in the menu, second option from the bottom). If that fails try (re)installing the latest firmware, downloadable from Leica's website. If all fails call Leica CS Wetzlar on the telephone and ask for advice. Exodies Posted June 12, 2017 Share #11 Posted June 12, 2017 You say the in-camera preview is ok - is it ok if you zoom in (all the way)? This causes the camera to generate a jpg from the DNG instead of just showing the thumbnail.
lucerne Posted June 12, 2017 Share #12 Posted June 12, 2017 Error code 36 is known to relate to corruption caused when a file within a folder has been transferred from a windows device to a mac device. "The problem is observed when folders from a Windows-compatible volume get moved to a Mac and then back again. The dreaded “Error Code -36″ message is the result. If you are experiencing this problem, you can run a simple dot_clean utility to remove the hidden "dot-underscore" files from your flash drive or memory card." Are you offloading your sdcard to a Windows PC and then dragging files or folders across to your Mac. Has your sdcard been formatted in your camera. Are you transferring files on your PC to your sdcard, Using that card in your camera, and then transferring the contents of that card into an Apple system.. I'm not suggesting that your PC can't deal with the card or its images but in a mixed system operating environment problems arise. That's why I've ditched all my pc's and only use apple devices.
jaapv Posted June 12, 2017 Share #13 Posted June 12, 2017 Nice pickup, Gordon. http://osxdaily.com/2015/02/21/fix-error-code-36-finder-mac-os-x/ Another cause for an -36 error code can be a bad sector on the medium, AKA a bad SD card.
jmahto Posted June 19, 2017 Share #14 Posted June 19, 2017 Also it is a good practice to lock the card (make it read only) before you connect it to any computer for downloading.
Jeff S Posted June 19, 2017 Share #15 Posted June 19, 2017 From the title, I'd say your camera is dyslexic. Jeff
