I'm not so sure if it's going to improve in any way, will test this out tomorrow

I was used to leica magnifier 1.25 before jumping out 6c8f4514c516fe25e182228a9bfb6dea.jpg

Hi, can you please let us know what you think of the contrast lens? Does it work better when bright / dark, etc?

Hi mate

In bright areas it sure helps!

I was using the magnifier but since i prefer the contrast lens

With bright during daylight it really helps and nails better focus

I love my Leica M-P with the 35mm f/1.4. But with the 90mm f/2 nailing the focus is quite frequently a problem.

I got a EVF-2 but it's just not the good old rangefinder. I have never tried the magnifiers. Do the 1.25x mess with the 35mm frame and the exposure info? Have you tried the 1.4x version? Why didn't you get the Walter Contrast Lense with 1.25x magnification, as you were used to it before? Do you really recommend it? Thanks for the help.

Does anybody have an idea, which gel filter I should get to try out this thing? I don't want to spend +$200 before I know it works so I plan to buy a gel filter which is about $10, cut it and stick it infront of RF window of my Leicas :)

something like would work? https://www.amazon.co.uk/Neewer-centimeters-Transparent-Correction-Flashlight/dp/B01N0HJXFF/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1525094163&sr=8-5&keywords=yellow+gel+filter

Cheers,

Fatih

Hi, i still used it on my m10-D and also have a magnifier on the other body

well during daylight it sure helps a lot :)

Is the magnifier part of the Walter piece or an add on?
I see on his page:

 Different contrast lenses:

1. Normal Plano lens
2. Dioptre lens according to buyer specification. we use 0.25 increments.
3. Magnification lenses according to buyer specification.

I guess I can contact him too, but wondered if all three can be added to a single attachment.

I think all three can be added to a single attachment

but mine was the standard without anything other than the gold coating contrast lens

the gold coating or any other coating I believe, would suffer from low light or indoor as it is like wearing a sunglass
