35mm f/2.5 Summarit on M10 vs M240

The colour rendering of the lens will not be changed by the camera used. The only difference you will see will be between the bodies.

Sorry, I'm confused as these two sentences superficially appear to contradict each other.

I'm assuming that the same scene captured with the same lens but different models of body will have differences in appearance.

Thank you.

The problem, I think, is that the question ought to be "how is the color rendering of M10' sensor compared to M240's one ?" Lens is an invariant... a certain lens will project exactly the same lightrays on two same-sized sensors... they CAN (or not) transfer them differently to the RAW bitmap.

(hair-splitting... B) maybe one could put something in discussion in case of lenses that "outresolve" the sensor...a very questionable concept, anyway... but M240 and M10 have the same sensor's pixel count and pitch... any corresponding pixel of one and the other receives exactly the same wave/photon...)

Phraseology aside...

Personally, I would not worry about it because a simple PP profile can make up any difference you might perceive.

The point being that the lens used is completely irrelevant in this question, and, as Pico justly notes, any colour variation can easily be equalized in raw conversion and postprocessing, especially on sensors that are so close in specification and performance.
