Advertisement Posted June 6, 2017 Posted June 6, 2017 Hi sincere, Take a look here What lens hood do you use for your 35mm lens?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Clactonian Posted June 6, 2017 Share #2 Posted June 6, 2017 Obstruction of the viewfinder might be your problem as most hoods do to some extent. I am terrible with hoods and am always losing them so tend to buy the cheap ventilated hoods available on Amazon which are only a few GB pounds each. I've not experienced any vignetting or noticeable flair problems in normal use and the 'ventilation' slot allows a reasonable view through. As they mostly are screw fit to the filter thread you will be unable to use filters unless you use stackable filters.
jim0266 Posted June 6, 2017 Share #3 Posted June 6, 2017 The Voightlander LH-6 works on the Zeiss 35.2.8 C-Biogon. It's about $20 less expensive than the Zeiss option. It's vented and his minimal blockage. Any hood you put on this lens will result is some viewfinder blockage. With no hood on this lens you will not have blockage. The hood does not hamper setting the aperture.
michaelwj Posted June 7, 2017 Share #4 Posted June 7, 2017 I second the Voigtlander option. How is the ZM hood getting on the way of the aperture? Isn't it a bayonet type?
sincere Posted June 8, 2017 Author Share #5 Posted June 8, 2017 (edited) THanks for all of the infos. I wonder, is a lens hood really needed if i already have a UV filter on the Biogon Lens? The other thing, the Biogon lens has practically zero lens flare, so i wonder how necessary a lens hood is afterall (besides good looks, haha) Edited June 8, 2017 by sincere
