The Racetrack, in Death Valley, where the stones travel by themselves, is an incredible location. The long off-road drive to get there is definitely worth it: seeing and photographing these stones with their trails is magic, every time.

really a great shot again!

 

Just a question regarding the phenomenon: what is the reason for the stone's movement? Wind is probably not powerful enough.....

 

Thank you very much, I am glad you enjoyed it! :) Well, there have been an explanation recently, you can find it on the net easy, but I still prefer to think that it's magic ;)

 

Lovely.  We didn't have enough time to go to the racetrack, but we did virtually everything else.
