This winter in Death Valley I was lucky to get two (!) rainstorms in a few days. When it rains on some of the driest landscapes on Earth, the landscape change in ways unimaginable when you see it dry: here you can see Cottonball Marsh turned into a spectacular lake at sunset.

Leica SL (Typ 601) and Voigtlander 15mm. Thanks for viewing, best regards

Eloquent and arcane description Dee ;-)

Mark, in truth this particular exclamation is never heard these days, but it's the word that first sprang to mind as I looked at this amazing shot....bring back the arcane!

What an unusual and uniquely beautiful landscape image. Well done, as usual.

Thank you Brent! Yes, the landscape at Cottonball - especially with the presence of water - is truly spectacular and very different from what you expect from Death Valley!

Best regards,

Vieri
