Pete, you embarrass me. In just a few days you have shot the tripes out of my town more than I have in a life time.

Why did I invite you here? B)

:D John, I think you're giving me far too much credit!  It's always different with a fresh pair of eyes and others' pictures of familiar places look better than the views your brain has trained you to see yourself.  I would feel exactly the same of pictures you would shoot in London.  I'm afraid I have a few more to post from my visit to Melbourne because it and its people are naturally so photogenic. :)

Pete.

Sandridge Bridge

attachicon.gifSandridge Bridge 2.jpg

MMv1 + Voigtlander Heliar 15/4.5v2

The Sandgate bridge was converted to a celebration of immigration from a concept and donation by philanthropist Les Erdi.

He was operated on by my first boss and donated a $250,000 research camera to my last boss as a thank you for the first one saving his life. Most expensive camera i have ever used.

Thank you Pierre. Its great to know the history as it puts a perspective and understanding otherwise never known.

I've finally gone through my Australia photos. I am certainly not a real time publisher of images - Ritsuko takes care of that department for me.

Rather than spamming this thread with images, you should be able to see my Melbourne area images together on this Flickr page

As the "Home Town" boy, I feel you, along with Pete, have blitzed my town.

Well done both of you.

I now feel I have to take another (fresh) look at where I live!
