Bag to carry SL and M together

I want to use an SL and M9 together. I have a couple of small lenses I'll use as well as those on the cameras - all M lenses, even on the SL. No 24-90 at this stage. I have a Hadley bag which I've used for probably 20 years and it's just too small for both cameras and the lenses (and Zeiss wipes, spare batteries etc). Does anyone carry a kit like that? Would you share your method? I have to admit I am absolutely loathe to add to my collection of bags - all photographers have a ridiculously large collection of bags I know. I have three photography rucksacs alone! Really I'd like an easy access messenger style bag of a sufficient size, as those cameras and lenses are really quite light as a kit. I have bought little tamrac protection bags to go in my camera bag -  I don't need my cameras and lenses rolling around knocking lumps off each other. So is there something which would take an SL, an M9, four small lenses and associated accessories?  All the illustrations of messenger style bags I see have just one camera and some lenses. Have any assignment/street/wedding photographers solved the problem? Thanks in advance for any ideas or solutions you are able to share.

ps I'll probably replace the M9 with 240 soon but it's more or less the same size.

I'm looking at new bags with pretty much the same equipment as you. I have a list of bags from Leica boutique which seem to be appropriate in size. I will post my selections later however I'm interested in any other recommendations here.

I only use M or R lenses and a Hadley pro works well for me…even for my Sl with a R80lux attached and a MM1 with a 0.95.   With protective padded flaps there’s room underneath the camera’s  for a couple of lenses and two front pockets for filters, batteries etc.  Even a Hadley small works when I just want/need two smaller lenses attached and front pockets for incidentals.

It's a dilemma for sure.

Used a Wotancraft Ryker for the M240+50crom+24lux+90Elmar but the bag weighs a lot and also a very tight fit. Looked into the Hadley but very similar size-wise to the Artisan so back to staying with the Artisan/Artist.

Additionally, both the Wotancraft and Artisan will not take the SL with the 24lux mounted, and leave enough room for the other 2 lenses; so have abandoned the 1 bag for both option - plus typically would not carry 2 bodies.

Instead, after comparing the Billingham S4 and FStop 1.4, settled for the FStop 1.4 for the SL and Artisan for the M240 as the Artisan isn't as deep to accommodate the larger SL body.

Mainly the S4 has a top side2side zipper and the opening is too constrained to pull the SL/24lux out. Also the external strap hooks on by pulling up from the bottom.

The FStop 1.4 has a open top, easier for camera entry/exit, good space for the other 2 lenses, plus a good pocket for either an iPad or a MacBook 11 or 12. Also the external strap pulls down to buckle.

The external pull strap/hook setup isn't ideal, magnetic would be better, but it's been very frustrating finding the right bag combo after going through ThinkTank, Manfrotto and others.

To be specific, requirements had been to look for the most compact, but having enough space for a body mounted with a lens, plus 2 lenses. iPad/laptop/charger/cleaning gear en route in flight only, left in hotel room at destination.

Sorry, but I think this has already been discussed plus the original SL bag thread is 441 replies long with photos ...

Thanks for that. Weird English 'dual wield.'

I bought a Manfrotto grey thing with red innards - a sort of messenger bag. It sort of works. One day I'm going to have the world's biggest camera bag garage sale!

I think David Alan Harvey may win that war :-)
