A picture in BW during a mountain hike : two friends on a glacier, June 1975 (18 years old... ) , brand new Zorki4K with Helios 50mm f2, yellow filter. iirc Ilford PAN F 50 ASA.

The same year , 1 month about before, handled the Leica (IIIc ?) of the father of a friend, but I seem that didn't take any picture (was at home), but decided that RF was definitely OK.. and soon after proudly bought my Zorky at 15.000 Italian Liras... :)  (135mm Jupiter 11 followed 2 months after, used, and MY IIIc arrived 6 years after)

You're story is better (and likely more unique!) than mine.

I have come to the M10 from a Leica Q so a bit of a learning curve ahead.

Nov 22nd 2009.  M9 with Summicron 90 Apo  Subject was one of the last roses in my garden.  Totally out of focus.  Only weeks later I learned that the OOF was not user error but the RF of my brand new M9 was way off.  Camera came back from a seemingly interminable journey to the factory with a spot on RF.   Spring was already in the air at the time I could start enjoying my first rangefinder.
