LEITZ Summicron-R 1:2/35 as a walk around lens on SL

There is a LEITZ Summicron-R 1:2/35 lens (2466121) on Craig's list locally for $1000.00 CDN (or $730 USD) and I am wondering if this would be a good value and rewarding lens.

I have the 24-90 SL lens and thinking about this one as a lighter more discreet walk around and casual lens.

The 24-90 does seem to intimidate people when they have it pointed at them.

There is also a LEITZ Wetzlar Elmarit R 1:2.8/28. (2510708) for the same price but I like the extra stop on the 35mm.

Any opinions, experience or comments welcome.

Thanks.

When bought my SL in November 2015, I didn't´ have the money for 24-90 mm. So I used the SL with the existing M and R lenses.

The Summicron R 2.0/35 mm works very nicely with the SL. Focussing is easy. Corner sharpness is better than the M-versions (pre-asph).

Contrast is a bit lower than the 24- 90 mm (that is hard to beat), but the rendering of lights is perfect.

Here is example that hopefully shows this:

I had one of the Summicron-R 35mm f/2 lenses and used it quite a bit with my SL. I sold it as part of the trade to obtain the SL90-280 lens recently, only because I tend to use the Summilux-R 50 and Elmarit-R 19 lenses more of the time, and the SL24-90 does me well for the focal lengths in between them.

It's a modest-sized and super high performing lens on the SL, well worth $750. (I sold mine for substantially more than that.)
