platypus Posted May 12, 2017 Share #3 Posted May 12, 2017 It's hard for a dog to lose weight, and maybe even harder for those who love them and must deny them. You have all done well.....and nice photo!
Tom Barry Posted May 12, 2017 Share #4 Posted May 12, 2017 Good on you. Most of my dogs over the decades have been Labs, and weight has been a problem with all of them, especially as they age.
albert Posted May 12, 2017 Author Share #5 Posted May 12, 2017 Michael, Platypus, and Tom, The photo doesn't do her justice because she is black as coal. The shaving seems to have been hard on her self esteem and confidence. She was very needy last night and spent most of her night laying right next to me. We have noticed this with other Newfies in our past. I guess I would feel the same. Thank you for your comments. They get over it in a few days. fotografr Posted May 13, 2017 Share #8 Posted May 13, 2017 She doesn't look happy with her new hairdo at the moment, but she will be when the heat and humidity arrive. I hear we're in for a bumper crop of ticks this year due to a mild winter. Good luck up there.
