Jeff S Posted May 9, 2017 Share #21 Posted May 9, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) I keep a WhiBal card, a ColorChecker and a small incident meter in my bag for special circumstances... but typically I don't carry a bag when shooting with an M. Keep it simple. Jeff

Guest Posted May 9, 2017 Share #22 Posted May 9, 2017 I have the Colorchecker passport in my camera bag and use it regularly to make a profile in difficult light, or as a WB card. There is a grey card too. + 1 Very good quality piece of kit. I paid about £60.00 for mine about 1 year ago at the Photography Show in the NEC in Birmingham. likealot Posted May 9, 2017 Author Share #23 Posted May 9, 2017 Had a look at the colourchecker and it is on the expensive side so I'm thinking of going for the Novoflex Zebra instead. Decent price and I'm assuming good quality.

Decent price and I'm assuming good quality. Of course it costs less; it does far less, as described earlier. Jeff
jaapv Posted May 9, 2017 Share #25 Posted May 9, 2017 I must confess if it is just about a custom whitebalance (or instance with mixed LED/Tungsten light) I will just as easily use a piece of paper or even a tablecloth. After all, it is just a startingpoint anyway, easily tweaked in postprocessing. I have an Expodisk in a drawer somewhere too. Works well, but I can't be bothered dragging everything along.
