Hi, everyone,

Could one kindly tell me if I can use the 50mm f2.8 Elmar-M Collapsible lens on a Bess T body? Will I be able to collapse the lens inside the body as I do on the M6?

Thanks in advance

Paul

Yes, you can use the 50mm Elmar M on the Bessa T.

Can you fully collapse the lens into the body?  I do not know.  You will have to get an accurate ruler such as https://www.amazon.com/Metal-Ruler-HEAVY-STAINLESS-STEEL/dp/B06XCT7VMC/ref=pd_lpo_vtph_229_tr_t_3?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=BKJ94EKA4STX1WC5QFBQ and do some measuring.

Measure the depth from the front surface of the lens mount (measurement #1) on the camera body to the shutter curtain.  Write down the measurement.  Next, with your lens off the camera body, fully collapse the lens and measure from the rear surface of the lens mount to the rear face of the lens barrel (measurement #2).  Write down the measurement.

As long as measurement #2 does not equal or exceed measurement #1, you should be safe.  I would want at minimum 2mm or so of clearance just to be on the safe side.

Hope this helps...
