platypus Posted April 23, 2017 Author Share #3 Posted April 23, 2017 Dave, thanks! It's such a pretty time of the year, the colours are quite amazing and this new little lens is a delight. I made the decision to try it for a while without buying an external viewfinder, I'd read on the Forum that estimating the framing could work....and so it does!
david strachan Posted April 23, 2017 Share #4 Posted April 23, 2017 (edited) Yes, shooting along the gun-sight hot shoe works for me with a lot of wide angles. The lines disappearing off into the distance are fine photography. And I still like your greens... all best... platypus Posted April 26, 2017 Author Share #13 Posted April 26, 2017 (edited) Here's the last one for this thread. This shot was taken looking back up our river to the north with a storm coming in, to any Australian looking I will ask "how's the serenity?" These shots are part of a group I've taken this autumn to print as greeting cards, my sister remains traditional enough that she still sends out cards on appropriate occasions. fotografr Posted April 26, 2017 Share #14 Posted April 26, 2017 (edited) Stunningly beautiful country captured in wonderful light by a landscape master. In imaging terms, the first and last ones really got my attention. As a trout fisherman, the middle one floored me. And nobody comes to fish for them? What a paradise. Leica should send you a bonus cheque. Likely you just helped them sell a few 24mm Elmars. Edited April 26, 2017 by fotografr
erl Posted April 26, 2017 Share #15 Posted April 26, 2017 Wonderful wonderful images Dee. I feel so ashamed that I live in this country and I don't get out enough to exploit it's wonderful image potential.
