Sierratrekker Posted April 14, 2017 Share #4 Posted April 14, 2017 Pricey, but really nice cases. Have one for my Q with the battery door opening in black. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
M11 for me Posted April 14, 2017 Share #5 Posted April 14, 2017 do they provide you with a modified bottom plate that gives direct access to the battery?
FrankSL&M Posted April 14, 2017 Author Share #6 Posted April 14, 2017 do they provide you with a modified bottom plate that gives direct access to the battery? I think one just leaves the plate off and go in bare bottom. The battery door flap has magnets which fools the camera to think bottom plate is on and clsed. Wonzo Posted April 15, 2017 Share #10 Posted April 15, 2017 Great opportunity to make the M10 as thick as the M (240) and even heavier ...
Surelythisnameisfree Posted April 15, 2017 Share #11 Posted April 15, 2017 But not as thick or heavy as an M240 with a half case on it.... Everyone has different ways of doing things, no need to criticise
FrankSL&M Posted April 15, 2017 Author Share #12 Posted April 15, 2017 And within a second, the thinner M10 is thick again ... I feel that M240 feel better to grip than the thinner M10. On the M10 my thumb rests on the LCD. That's why I wanted a 1/2 case.

Of course, "chaqu'un à son goût"! I prefer a thinner body and maybe a thumbrest for my thumb ... Edited April 15, 2017 by cp995
Arai Posted May 14, 2017 Share #14 Posted May 14, 2017 With this case and thumbs up, I feel more secure and so comfy, otherwise Leica wouldn't made one of their own. Welcome, dear visitor! pedaes Posted May 14, 2017 Share #15 Posted May 14, 2017 Will this case fit with the bottom plate in place? I know it defeats design benefit, but seems to me it is a much neater case than the one with side fixings. Cheers.
sarkleshark Posted May 15, 2017 Share #16 Posted May 15, 2017 I have one in black lizard--sweet!!! And yes it does fit with the bottom plate on. Understand that the bottom plate moves the case about 1/8 in down so it doesnt have the exact perfect fit that the art di mano cases are known for but not so much that it will effect any function or anyone would take notice. A beautiful case and superb workmanship. I have had cases from several other vendors and this is far and away the best fit.

RickP Posted May 22, 2017 Share #19 Posted May 22, 2017 (edited) I really like Luigi's Leicatime cases.. Always beautiful and can be had with an LCD cover that flips down.. That is more important to me than other issues. http://www.leicatime.com/a000-CasesLeicaM10.htm Edited May 22, 2017 by RickP
APA_Leica Posted May 22, 2017 Share #20 Posted May 22, 2017 Arte di Mano also makes a case for the M10 that is secured to the camera with the snaps that go around the lug nuts, like the M240 Leica cases. I have that one. The case with the trap door in the bottom is intended to be used without the bottom plate, and that one made me nervous about water exposure, dust, etc. If that case is mounted with the bottom plate on, then the case still has to be removed to change battery or card, defeating the easy access purpose of the magnetic door. This is why I bought the deeper one that mounts with snaps. Either way, Arte di Mano makes a great case, with beautiful leather and workmanship.
