mikemgb Posted April 11, 2017 Share #2 Posted April 11, 2017 Very nice! What camera/lens were you using? Is this full frame or a crop?

stuny Posted April 12, 2017 Author Share #5 Posted April 12, 2017 Sam, Dee & Hardy - Thank you. Mike - Thank you. I was using my V-Lux 114 at full zoom with the interpolation software switched on to increase the effective zoom from 400 MM equivalent to 800 mm equivalent. I find this software, on the V-Lux 114 and on the D-Lux 109 to work without discernable damage to the images. I know I cropped it some but I do not recall how much.

I'm looking at options to photograph the eclipse in August. The longest zoom I have on a digital is my D-Lux 109, the longest on an analog camera is 300mm, I'm thinking I need to go at least 500mm on the film and use the D-Lux for landscape incorporating the eclipsed sun.
