Bill W Posted April 5, 2017 Share #1 Posted April 5, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) Please see the attached taken of the sky. Is this a dead pixel or worse. I just had the camera come back from Leica to have is checked for focus and exposure. This was taken of the sky to emphasize the line across the top. Welcome, dear visitor! Advertisement Posted April 5, 2017 Posted April 5, 2017 Hi Bill W, Take a look here M 246 Dead Pixel Or?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
mmradman Posted April 5, 2017 Share #2 Posted April 5, 2017 Dead pixel is shown as vertical line, so this is something else and may be a problem. Call Leica service and explain the problem maybe email them copy of Raw file for evaluation. Do you have backup or need for camera in the near future, it may be another service trip. Bill W Posted April 5, 2017 Author Share #3 Posted April 5, 2017 I emailed them already for a shipping label as the camera is still in warranty. I tried a different memory card and it is still the same thing. I will report what I find out as soon as I hear form Leica.
Bill W Posted April 29, 2017 Author Share #4 Posted April 29, 2017 I received my 246 back from Leica yesterday the 28th. I appears to be fixed after taking a few test shots. While I cannot complain about the turn around as it was about three weeks they did not state what the issue was or what was fixed. The return invoice says nothing. I emailed but do not expect an explanation. I would really like to know if the sensor was replaced.
