wlaidlaw Posted April 4, 2017 Share #1 Posted April 4, 2017 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) Photoshop CC (2017.0.1) has behaved slightly oddly since I changed my 2012 rMPB for a Touchbar 15.4 MPB earlier this year. The cursor disappears for around 45 seconds after starting PS but after that it was behaving normally. Now after the 10.12.4 update, if I start PS and position the cursor anywhere in the middle of the screen, PS effectively freezes and the cursor moves in jerks, a few seconds between each jerk. If I allow PS to start with the cursor positioned on the task bar, then after about a minute, it will behave normally. I have tried starting with plug ins disabled as suggested by Adobe (shift key on start) and it made no difference apart from GPU acceleration not working, ditto Adobe RAW. Anyone else been having this problem on a Touchbar MBP? Wilson Edited April 4, 2017 by wlaidlaw

digger1914 Posted April 4, 2017 Share #2 Posted April 4, 2017 I changed to the new MBP last week (15 inch as well) and have not had this issue with OSX 12.12.4. (Thankfully!)
wlaidlaw Posted April 4, 2017 Author Share #3 Posted April 4, 2017 Adobe have tried to tell me it is due to my slow internet (40mb/s so not exactly crawling) checking for updates. This is of course rubbish. My Mac Mini also running PS CS 2017.0.1 and OS 10.12.4 and on the same wifi network and broadband, is not having the problem. I wonder if I have a graphics problem with the MBP. I am glad I bought Applecare for it.
