aseancat Posted April 4, 2017 Share #1 Posted April 4, 2017 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) how to revert firmware from v1.6 or v1.61 to v1.55? or maybe reinstall the firmware from a fresh download? with v1.61 there is a noticeable pregnant pause shifting from screen to EVF use takes longer than 2 secs; had multiple camera-freeze requiring battery eject to work again, and more times coming back to operation with camera recording 0MB, non working jpeg files only instead of DNG+JPEG in settings. had to do a factory reset to enable proper camera operations. I also noticed it takes longer to go from screen to EVF with firmware 1.6. I thought it was in my imagination; but now that you are mentioning, it seems more real!...

I totally agree with what you said; therefore, it shouldn't be the fruit of our imagination!... Let us hope they would improve that!
aseancat Posted April 6, 2017 Author Share #6 Posted April 6, 2017 Sounds like sn SD card problem. eliminated that probability at the first instance of getting 0MB jpeg files; and tried to use Scandisk, Lexar, transcend, leica and 95mb, 10000x class10 HC; 64, 32, 16, 8Mb's, new and used. was not able to isolate camera freeze on a particular SD card. aseancat Posted April 7, 2017 Author Share #7 Posted April 7, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) I also noticed it takes longer to go from screen to EVF with firmware 1.6. I thought it was in my imagination; but now that you are mentioning, it seems more real!... there is some sort of pause, when you transfer your field of view from screen to EVF... an instance of "as if taken by surprise, and scrambling to give you the view you wanted." I seem to struggle with using AF more in v1.6 than in v.155 perhaps it is just me. Edited April 7, 2017 by aseancat

LexS Posted April 9, 2017 Share #11 Posted April 9, 2017 Is there a way to revert to older firmware? tried installing v1.55 over v1.61 i get "firmware is up to date" I am sure it CAN'T be done. I have never heard of any equipment in which you can downgrade firmware.
pop Posted April 9, 2017 Share #12 Posted April 9, 2017 I am sure it CAN'T be done. I have never heard of any equipment in which you can downgrade firmware. Some members here claim to have done exactly that with their M nines.
