Guest NEIL-D-WILLIAMS Posted March 27, 2017 Share #1 Posted March 27, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) Reason for the question; In December I bought a SL plus Noctilux 0.95. The plan was to just use that body lens combination as I love the way the Noctilux renders. Of course Neil being Neil I ended up adding a couple more M lenses to the SL meaning a 21mm SEM, 35mm lux, and a 90mm APO............. Plus a few adapters, the S to SL, Nikon to SL and most recently Hasselblad V to SL so you can see I am covered with the SL...................By the way if anyone here is considering a M-10 but not sure about the rangefinder then I would highly recommend a Leica SL ..........amazing tool and easy peasy to shoot with M lenses :) Anyway I want to give the M-10 a go but not with the monstrosity of a Noctilux 50mm 0.95 but with a smaller 50mm, so I'm thinking 50mm APO or maybe just use my 50mm f3 Elmar 2 collapsible .......yea that might work Anyways as always comments feedback most welcome Neil

Jeff S Posted March 27, 2017 Share #4 Posted March 27, 2017 You need the APO about as much as you need the M10 (having bought a ton of stuff since you wrote in December that you were done). Do you really expect any bad reports from APO users? Just keep buying. Jeff
Guest NEIL-D-WILLIAMS Posted March 27, 2017 Share #5 Posted March 27, 2017 (edited) You need the APO about as much as you need the M10 (having bought a ton of stuff since you wrote in December that you were done). Do you really expect any bad reports from APO users? Just keep buying. Jeff Correct I am not expecting any bad comments about the APO on the M-10, my question was (I think that's what I said) Has anyone tried the 50mm APO on the M-10????? This morning I read a bunch of reviews on the 50mm APO and most of the comments were with regard to the 50mm APO on a Monochrome............hence the question So please stop jumping to conclusions Jeff, I'm just trying to get the feel for anyone shooting with the APO on a M-10............cheers They also have a red one which will just work perfectly with a Arte Di Many Red Case Neil Edited March 27, 2017 by Neil D

Dirk Mandeville Posted March 27, 2017 Share #10 Posted March 27, 2017 I don't own the 50 APO or the M10 (yet). But given the quality answers you have received thus far, I feel completely qualified to provide input on your question. On the M10 Facebook pages, lots of people have been posting pictures shot with M10 and 50 APO. The photos generally look great, with superb color, excellent sharpness and microcontrast in the in-focus areas, and a nice bokeh. Everyone that discusses it seems to be thrilled with the combination. So take that for whatever it's worth.
01af Posted March 27, 2017 Share #11 Posted March 27, 2017 ... maybe just post some pictures to make him want it even more!? He was very specific as to what his question was, and asking for pictures it was not. If he wants to see some then he might go there or there, for example. digitalfx Posted March 27, 2017 Share #12 Posted March 27, 2017 I have the M10 and both Noctilux .95 and 50 APO. Both look outstanding on the M10, but are completely different lenses. I wouldn't part with either one.
