My favorite image from the shoot. Of course it is from my oldest camera and lens combo. Leica M9 Monochrom and 50mm f2 Summicron (but I think it wouldn't matter what lens I used TBH). ISO 800, 50mm, f2, 1/45 sec.  Sylph Sia, an amazing talent

Another proof that a significant amount of Summilux ASPHs are used for taking pictures of cats. 😉

I've no experience with this kind of photography, no skill with this so I'm only able to comment from a position of gross ignorance. My initial reaction to this is that it's the wrong face for this shot, it gives me no feeling, it's 'empty' for me. My gut feel as a person rather that as a photographer is that there is a photo that would bring out what is inside this lady, some emotion from an expression that is simply not happening in this shot. I don't know this lady, is the right expression one of having fun with a smile, is it one of mischief, I don't know what is her inner personality but I don't see any evidence of it here. It's too sterile for me and because of this, it's not that sexy either. I don't know if I have explained myself well, it's a personal thing and many other people may disagree completely with my comments.

Not trying to be a hard ass or the enforcer here, but Sigma camera and Voigtlander lens? The Forum rules specify all posts must involve Leica equipment. This can be either the camera or the lens, but must involve at least one. Just FYI. Otherwise, we'll have people posting photos taken with 50mm Zeiss lenses on Sony cameras, which is not appropriate for this forum.

Cheers,

Brent
