When i first started in photography,  my Waltz Envoy had a 50 2.0 Nippon Koagu (now Nikon)permanently attached.  I could not wait for an interchangeable lens camera.  Now 60 years later,  I find the plain 50 to give the best viewpoint and looks most natural.  I do have many other lenses, but only use them when I can not move to the correct place.

I could agree more, as an owner of 7 Leica 50mm lenses :)
