redlensandgreenbody Posted March 14, 2017 Share #1 Posted March 14, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hello guys, I have just received D-Lux 109 today. The camera is really amazing but I have encountered one issue. When I see through the viewfinder I cannot see settings such as aperture value and shutter speed (those in white letters) clear enough for me to feel comfortable. I have of course tried to change diopter sight but it did not work. Any help? Kind regards, Leo

lct Posted March 15, 2017 Share #2 Posted March 15, 2017 Settings will be more visible on a black background. Suffice it to change "EVF Disp.Style" this way. Welcome, dear visitor! DL109_EVF_disp_style.jpg Thanks for your reply lct. I tried changing setting as you recommended but it did not seem to resolve the issue. Having read similar complaints from this forum and Panasonic forum (on Lx100) I think it could be either my eyes or the EVF itself. I am planning to take it back for repair.
manie_de Posted April 6, 2017 Share #4 Posted April 6, 2017 As the 109 and the Panasonic twin LX100 were released some buyers did notice problems with defect diopter adjustement. It was a hardware bug and ist looks like you will have to send the camera back or to Leica for repair.

Was just a mechanical issue fixable by DIY as far as my Lx100 was concerned. https://www.dpreview.com/forums/thread/3762781#forum-post-54869434

Was just a mechanical issue fixable by DIY as far as my Lx100 was concerned. https://www.dpreview.com/forums/thread/3762781#forum-post-54869434 I have sent my Leica back to London Leica store and the staff there told me that there was nothing wrong with the evf. If I may elaborate on the issue, the image shown though the evf is clear. I am having a problem when I try to adjust aperture and shutter speed settings while looking through the evf. When I put my eye onto the evf I cannot clearly see those settings shown on the evf (those in white colour font). If I can see aperture setting clearly focused then I cannot see another setting next to it clearly, it is just blurry and seems to me out of focus. The staff at the store also told me that with the current technology evfs cannot be perfect even for those produced for the Leica. I am just wondering whether my eyes are causing this issue or whether it is the evf which has not yet been developed to the extent to meet human eyes' standard. stuny Posted April 11, 2017 Share #7 Posted April 11, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) I just tried mine, and the image and the display data (comes on when I click the Display button on the back) are both clear and sharp.
lct Posted April 11, 2017 Share #8 Posted April 11, 2017 Hard to say w/o seeing your VF but the aperture and shutter speed settings are yellow in my Lx100 VF and they are close to each other. I may find them blurry if the diopter correction lens is improperly adjusted though. How do you set yours and how many clicks do you count when you turn the diopter adjustment dial?
