clayh Posted March 9, 2017 Share #1 Posted March 9, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) Has anybody that has the M-10 in hand tried the Olympus VF-2? Does it work? Curious, because it worked fine on my M240
Advertisement Posted March 9, 2017 Posted March 9, 2017 Hi clayh, Take a look here M-10 and Olympus VF-2 EVF. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
jaapv Posted March 9, 2017 Share #2 Posted March 9, 2017 In one word: no. It won't even mount.
satijntje Posted March 9, 2017 Share #3 Posted March 9, 2017 I simply cannot work as it has another physical mount! John
Vec Posted March 9, 2017 Share #4 Posted March 9, 2017 The connector for the VF-2 plugs into the back of the camera. For the Visoflex 020 the additional connections are made on the front of the hot shoe. The M10 lacks the rear connector -- and this is a good thing because that old connector wasn't able to be weatherproofed.
clayh Posted March 9, 2017 Author Share #5 Posted March 9, 2017 Well - that makes sense. looks like there will be a VF-2 on that auction site real soon now. And I can sit here twiddling my thumbs and wondering what my number is on the B&H list for the M-
Lord Lucan Posted March 9, 2017 Share #6 Posted March 9, 2017 In one word: no. It won't even mount. I hope someone could design a male-female 0.5M adapter for VF2 freeing up hotshoe for flash.
jaapv Posted March 10, 2017 Share #7 Posted March 10, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) It would be a bit unpractical with the EVF protruding an inch to the rear. Not too hard to cobble up I suppose.
Raid Amin Posted August 13, 2020 Share #8 Posted August 13, 2020 OK, so I cannot use an EVF2 with an M10. What a bummer.
