BlackDoc Posted March 9, 2017 Share #5 Posted March 9, 2017 Great picture, and it also shows that- publishing photos here- there is no problem using f32 (!!!) Vieri- do you see a difference / Problem when you are printing the pictures?
Hardster Posted March 9, 2017 Share #6 Posted March 9, 2017 What a great composition and landscape! If I let my imagination go the bottom two thirds looks like an electron micrograph.
Vieri Posted March 10, 2017 Author Share #7 Posted March 10, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) Fantastic! Thank you very much! Great picture, and it also shows that- publishing photos here- there is no problem using f32 (!!!) Vieri- do you see a difference / Problem when you are printing the pictures? Thank you very much Jörn, glad you enjoyed it Actually, EXIF is wrong: the 15mm doesn't communicate with the SL, and the camera guessed f/32 whereas the correct aperture was f/11 I haven't tried to print this one yet (am now in Le Cinque Terre for my Leica Akademie Italy Workshop) but other images I printed from the 15mm and the SL look just fine. What a great composition and landscape! If I let my imagination go the bottom two thirds looks like an electron micrograph. Thank you very much, glad you liked it Indeed, Badwater's textures in the salt formations have a distinct "macro feeling" to them, even if they are relatively big Best, Vieri

Mark Pope Posted March 11, 2017 Share #9 Posted March 11, 2017 I've been back to this thread three or four times. It's a fabulous shot that needs to be printed large. Very large...

platypus Posted March 15, 2017 Share #13 Posted March 15, 2017 (edited) This is one of the (maybe the) best photographs I've seen this year. An incredible landscape and sky beautifully captured with wonderfully dramatic results. Edited March 15, 2017 by platypus
