sos song Posted March 1, 2017 Share #1 Posted March 1, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hello all, My Type 109 may have started to act up, but I'm not sure. When I am using the screen on the back of the camera in autofocus, the center of the screen will snap into focus, but the top 1/3 of the screen will "pulse" in and out of focus. If I take repeated pictures, some will be in focus and some will be out of focus. Has anybody else experienced this, or am I special.
Advertisement Posted March 1, 2017 Posted March 1, 2017 Hi sos song, Take a look here Type 109 Focus "Pulsing". I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
mikemgb Posted March 1, 2017 Share #2 Posted March 1, 2017 I have noticed similar occasionally when using single point spot focus. If the point is over a place that has distant objects and an object in the middle or foreground it will sometimes hunt between the two.
Roger Pellegrini Posted March 1, 2017 Share #3 Posted March 1, 2017 (edited) Hold down the F button on the top of the camera and rotate the Menu button on the back of the camera to make sure it is not on any special effect like 'Soft Focus.' Keep rotating the button until the top of the display section say 'No Effect.' Edited March 1, 2017 by Roger Pellegrini
sos song Posted March 2, 2017 Author Share #4 Posted March 2, 2017 OK. I think I figured out what was going on. I had the camera set to AFC, for continuous focusing. I think that the camera was searching for what to focus on between near and far parts of the image. I set it to AFS, for still images, and the "pulsing" went away.
