I'm very pleased with how the Q renders....reminds me very much of the lovely 28 Cron.

I'm also quite impressed with how well this camera can AF in low light indoors, and how spot on the AWB is as well. Just a snapshot of the pup sitting on the couch, but I've owned some many camera's that would of hunted back and forth for 45 seconds before misfocusing, and would produce a file with a horrible yellow cast under this same light.

Finally, I'm quite pleased with how malletable the Q files are in post, and how far beyond the limits of good taste you can push them. Not quite the latitude of the latest 42meg Sony sensor, but still darn good in my book provided your don't try to recover 5 stops of shadows or something crazy like that.

i-Lm2s6S7-XL.jpgBlimey ... only had my Q for two weeks, member here two days!

Just gone through ALL the pages of this thread, and what amazes me is how good the Q is ...

How good some of you are with those photographs ...

... and how much I have to learn!

Loving the Q, loving it to bits. Not had much chance to use it yet ... retirement sometimes gets busy  :)

I'm only taking in JPG at the moment, not used to using Lightroom but looks like I'm going to have to learn ... some amazing photographs in this thread.  As said, just gone through them ALL!!

Thank you

Now let's see if I can post one of my first piccies ...

OK maybe another one then. Straight from the camera

Welcome to the forum.  On the basis of those couple of pictures, you are off to a great start!

Thank you ...

Maybe the Christmas Cacti should have been cropped closer ...

Maybe the Viaduct at Dent (Yorkshire Dales) should have been levelled off ...

I'm here to learn from you guys'n gals   :)

Please forgive me ...

The camera is fantastic ...

My first post on the forum. Had my Q a couple weeks and loving it. My first Leica. The IQ is very very good. Direct comparison with the Canon 5D3 and I'd choose the Q. Extraordinary. I also love the ergonomics and simple menu structure. Opportunities for small refinements, but really fun to use as is. I'm enjoying all the great photos posted.

I took this picture late afternoon new years eve, pointing into the sun.   I didn't expect much.  I did some minor tweaks in lightroom then edited with NIK Color Efex.   The results were better than I expected.  Still, I've got to stop shooting directly into the sun :)

My kids wanted to go on this monstrosity called the "High Roller"! Apparently, each "pod" on the wheel can hold up to 40 people!! I'd guess a total of maybe 1000 people on the entire ferris wheel... I was shocked to say the least. However, the wife wasn't feeling that brave and we settled for some Sprinkles sweets instead hehe...

Leica Q image shot in RAW. LightRoom edited only.
