armbur Posted February 13, 2017 Share #1 Posted February 13, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) Take it with a grain of salt but I saw on LeicaRumors that the M10 will be added to Leica's a la carte program in a few months... http://leicarumors.com/2017/02/13/leica-m10-camera-to-be-added-to-the-a-la-carte-program-in-the-next-few-months.aspx/ It would be interesting if this is how they handle the "MP" version of the M10...i.e. order via a la carte program... sebben Posted February 13, 2017 Share #3 Posted February 13, 2017 Oh wouldn't it be great if they added a Leica m10d option!
Aktenschrank Posted February 14, 2017 Share #4 Posted February 14, 2017 Wow, this would be great!! Things i´d love to be able to customize: Remove frame selector. Pretty much never use this on my analog M´s (don´t have a digital one yet , M10 is going to be my first one) and it destroys the simple design a bit. Black paint finish to better match the color of the black lenses Sapphire glass for the LCD
armbur Posted February 14, 2017 Author Share #5 Posted February 14, 2017 Just walked through the M240 a la carte process/options and if they are similar to the M10 then I'd select the following options... black paint frame selector switch sapphire glass lcd black buttons no red logo no top engraving
jlindstrom Posted February 14, 2017 Share #6 Posted February 14, 2017 they could actually stop silly editions and just add stuff to a la carte at a decent cost naturally.. could get some really unique combos out there and I bet they'd make more money out of it. Alberti Posted February 14, 2017 Share #7 Posted February 14, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) And the à la carte option for an old-fashioned 35/50/90 mm frameline set (not 28mm that in fact implies the whole finder is 24 mm) like the film M can get. This would make the magnification lower even and the RF precision is improved further. Users of the old M3/M2 would welcome this. (The M10 is already a good step tho I understand). steamboat Posted February 14, 2017 Share #9 Posted February 14, 2017 The ala carte for M240 has been interesting. The original program had "video delete" option. Yes, no video. Then it quietly disappeared as an option. Not sure if it was in relation to the M262 being released.
Borbarad Posted February 14, 2017 Share #10 Posted February 14, 2017 Oh yes. Take my Money Leica. One M10 in Silver Chrome without the Logo and then the engraving on top. Classic design. B
