Hi Steve - Thanks.  Yes, many of the film photos were taken with my most favorite compact Barnack camera :)

Keith - LOL.  To clarify, I am merely submitting to you my logic that:

since cases are for total klutzes...

...and you are not a klutz...

...ergo...you do not need a case!!!

I agree, you'd think Leica could have kept the screw mount and just thrown in an M adapter...

 

 

I agree but I don't think Leica really sees the new version of this lens as being anything other than a retro curiosity for M digital camera owners. Certainly that appears to be how they are marketing the lens. Would LTM+adaptor create problems for 6-bit coding which I guess Leica consider an essential feature?

Makes sense, Ian, but i guess the 6 bit coding vs adaptability with a Barnack is a subjective preference. I personally think the trade off is a no brainer...
