Elegant tape solution for covering red dot on silver M

I've researched and can't find an elegant tape solution for covering the red dot on a silver M.

Anyone know of any pics out there of silver tape such as duct tape?

I find the retouched dots all try too hard so I don't want to see any acid miracles but rather simply a piece of gaffers tape or equivalent like black cameras.

I have used silver/gray gaffer's tape on my silver m9p. There is no red dot on the m9p, but the gaffer tape works to cover logos and such. Happy to send a photo if you would like to see how it looks.

Please post a pic when you get a chance. Many thanks.

Taping over will maybe serve your purpose, that's for you to decide, but I don't think it will ever be "elegant".

Don't disagree but it's curious because I find a simple piece of black tape over the logo on a black camera to be a neat and effective solution whereas silver chrome is not the same.

I would almost rather see a piece of camo or snakeskin (!) or something way off vs silver tape

Effective solution for what?

Just leave the camera as it is... just my two cents. ;)

Or maybe even a Leica badge instead of ghastly gaffers tape?

I expect that DAG (Don Goldberg) will produce black dots to fit the M10, as he has for prior digital Ms.

edit....I just checked in with him and he thinks the M8/M9 dots may be the same size (the M240 dot was bigger), but he hasn't had an M10 on hand to compare.  Does anyone know if the size is the same?
