MikeMyers Posted February 15, 2020 Share #24 Posted February 15, 2020 Ha! I guess my M10 is stealthified nicely, it's in the original box, which came inside another box, which in turn came inside yet another box, all of which was inside a rugged box for shipment from B&H Photo to me in Miami Beach. It was supposed to arrive Thursday afternoon, but the truck driver came to my building at 11am, while I was gone - he was two hours early. The instructions for FedEx were for him to call my phone, which he never did. When I called the main office, they re-assured me the driver would come back to me at the end of the day, which he never did. So I called B&H, to told me they would try to get it sent out on a different truck, and if that failed, it would go out on the Federal Express early morning truck, so not to worry. Neither happened. After three calls to FedEx, which I knew were wasted effort, the camera finally arrived at 5pm Friday. .......I opened the box inside a box inside a box inside a box to make sure it was there, then put everything away, and left it for today, Saturday. As with any new camera, I expect to put the battery on charge, then read about it, and only then go about setting it up for use. I know the M10-P has newer features, but it's way out of my price range. The M10 thanks to the price increase due to the stupidity of those in charge in Washington, DC, means the M10 is also out of my price range. My choice was the open box sale (which I went for), or a used camera. Heck, my M8.2 was also an "open box sale". My other way to make it stealthified, is to use my Leica lenses that I've been using since the 1980's. I look at my lenses, and look at the more modern version, and the new lenses are gigantic. With my small lenses, my M8.2 looks about as imposing as a Brownie Box Camera. The new lenses look like they belong on a DSLR. In addition to costing a fortune, the new lenses are the opposite of what I want; the same lenses from years ago are lighter, smaller, and much less conspicuous. At the rate I'm going, maybe I'll buy the M15 in ten years or so. By then it will have a powerful computer built-in, with GPS. Maybe by then, software such as DarkTable will be fully ready to get the most out of the DNG images, and I'll long since have forgotten about Adobe.............
