I like the Leica tag on the front of the M8.2 - it's black.  On Thursday I will receive my new M10.  How do I hide the bright red sticker?  Unless you guys have a better idea, it will be done with black electrical tape.

I haven't used cases since the 1960's.  I have felt the simple Leica neckstrap is so simple and functional, I've put one on other cameras.  I've seen a beautiful brown leather strap that I can buy, but it stands out too much.

And the most important thing to do is to change the shape of the camera, as that is the most recognizable part - a hydraulic press will do the trick. Failing that, just cut a hole in a brown paper bag and shoot through that. Dress to match. I recommend shopping at the Salvation Army.

MikeMyers,  You can call DAG Camera in Wisconsin (just Google his website) and see if he has the black logo.  He use to sell them.  I believe Japan Camera use to sell the black logo as well. Failing these two suggestions, I recommend Jaapv's post above.  r/ Mark

Examine the round rubber feet (4) on the base of an Apple Macbook. Now search Ebxx for a set of 4 black adhesive replacements of adequate dimensions.   Amazing low cost.    Stick one over the Leica logo.   Easily removed.
Finally, sell the other three unused for a huge profit.  (Say they are Leica and you can’t lose🤪)

I was wondering how long it would take for someone to notice!

I note that you are also stealthed and balancing your M10 on your hand.  Do you usually remove your clothes when you take photographs or just for this picture?

Pete.

This is my stealth M10 with a 90mm Macro-Elmar.  People frequently stop and compliment me about what might look a lot like a "KODAK304".  They also like the fact that they think I am still using film....

You are ok without the 1x1cm of black tape (which coincidentally makes it look even more intriguing to the practiced eye), most people on the planet think you can't afford digital and you've got a crappy old film camera.

Thanks!  I just found out about him recently, and yesterday morning I sent off one of my lenses for him to repair.  I was going to post about it here, it fits my M2 and M3, but not my M8 - one of the flanges was damaged 40 or so years ago, and I never noticed until I tried on my M8.  I'm also buying one of the close-up adapters he sells.

Sure, I'll get a black "dot" from him, but for now, I think a small piece of black electrical tape will be adequate.  Just for future reference, how does one remove the red dot without damaging anything?

My M10 should arrive in an hour or two.  Anxiously waiting......
