Had time to play with B&W conversions for the first time from M10

Summicron 28 ASPH ISO 8,000 DNG/LR (hopefully it displays sharper than the post preview)

A good example of the low light capability of the M10 - I took this with a Voigtlander 50mm f/1.5 Nokton.

Not absolutely sure what ISO - I think 6400.  It was pretty dark.

Walking around a really quiet Brisbane yesterday near our hotel and stumbled across this scene. Managed to fire a click without being noticed!

Just got the M10 coming up from an M-E and was playing around with the app. Seems to be a decent feature to be able to look at pics and share online almost seamlessly - I did have trouble with the connection as configuration. Attached are some pics straight from the camera with no edits.

Goodness, how close were you?!  Nice shot.

Thanks Vikas, I was about 3m away.  This was on a game drive last week at the Madikwe Reserve in RSA near the Botswana border.  The ranger showed an enormous amount of patience as we waited for the lion to wake up as the sun went down.

We also placed a lot of trust in the ranger!

A couple of days after I got my M10 I needed to shoot some street scenes for a work project. I kind of liked this one even if it didn't get used in the end for other reasons.

I'm not sure I would have had the courage :-)

Visited the Gallipoli exhibit at the Te Papa museum in Wellington, New Zealand. It's a striking and moving exhibit telling the story of those from New Zealand who fought there in World War I. One very compelling part of the display are a series of sculptures made by the Weta Workshop depicting people from the campaign at hyper-realistic 2X scale. Here are a few shots of those sculptures, all taken hand-held with an M10 and M-Rokkor 40mm F2 lens. Shot around 1/30th sec, F2.8, ISO 3200. Minimal processing in Lightroom. (Larger images can be seen at mdemeyer.leicaimages.com and it's worth looking to appreciate these amazing works.)

If you visit Wellington, this is a "don't miss".
