Typical. I went out yesterday with the M10 with every intention of shooting colour photos, but only came back with shots that work better in black and white, so I may as well just have taken the Monochrom. Here's one of them.

Yeah I know cats aren't everyone's cup of tea...

I've no idea how blind she is (one eye is misty the other nearly all black), but she was a very affectionate little thing, really working the thoroughfare for love and attention

........................

I like the idea of strays* as subjects... I dunno... we domesticate these critters then kinda toss them out when it suits, then they wander living hand paw to mouth from scraps and generosity. Of course this doesn't translate to photos (well not mine anyway) as folks don't see past the subject matter aww cute kitty/OMG not another cat photo (delete as applicable)

(*I believe this one might have a home though)

Anyway:

This is the spot where you catch the river taxi across the Douro to visit the charming fishing village of Afurada.

Do you see a river taxi in this shot?

Nope me neither, so there went my plan for the late afternoon 🙄

So here's a shot of some boats near the jetty where the river taxi ought to be

(and no humour fans my schoolboy 10 meter swimming certificate probably doesn't qualify me for that distance, and besides I doubt the M10 would survive either)

Strays and feral cats make the best pets. We just lost our three-legged cane field cat to cancer. A bit of a heart breaker after all the years it takes for a feral to transition from a wild cat to a lap cat. But another one will find its way to our door. They always do.
