Superb B&W image. I wonder if you might share your conversion techniques. This is as good as I've seen anywhere.

Today I got this tiny little lens.

First results actually surprised me. I will use this the next time more often...just for fun and 0,3m closest distance....jipieeeh

I think I'd be into your record collection (I'd like an m10p too!)

As discussed in another thread, viewers typically can’t distinguish the two from an especially well crafted picture/print, based on my experience. The rendering choices are infinite.

Nice turntable and albums!

I can't figure out how 7Artisans and TTArtisans make money. Their lenses are very well made, perform admirably and are ridiculously inexpensive.

The one thing I haven't figured out how to duplicate in a conversion is the dynamic range of a camera like the M10M. The M10 is very good but not quite up to the M10M. That's why I was interested in the conversion process used by sboyle92. If this is a conversion it's better than anything I can accomplish.

Everyone's approach and workflow is of course different.  For me, if exposure, light conditions, etc are favorable, and I haven't lost any important data, then I can usually make a tonally satisfying b/w conversion and modest sized print using some combination of LR, PS and ImagePrint (which has some nice editing tools). I still am very pleased with many of my M8.2 prints, which viewers can't distinguish from my more modern cameras, and with a wide and pleasing tonal range from rich black to highlights.  Of course the M10M (which I've only rented for a period so far) will always win out on extreme ISOs and pulling up clean shadows, etc, as well as for larger sized prints or extreme crops.  Paper, display lighting and other factors make a big difference, too.  Hard to judge online pics, for me at least....too many unknown and uncontrollable variables.  But I'm not surprised that the picture in question came from an M10.

I don't disagree with you but I'd still be interested in how this image was post processed due to the superb results. I've seen some beautiful b&w images that have been converted but this is one of the best I've come across.
