Advertisement Posted February 1, 2017 Posted February 1, 2017 Hi SiriusLux, Take a look here M10- FW Requests/Bug Reports. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Jeff S Posted February 1, 2017 Share #82 Posted February 1, 2017 This is a feature request thread, it would be nice if you could open other threads to discuss yozr subjects. Perhaps you could start a bar conversation on this point. BTW, the last couple of comments (if that's your concern) were in direct response to an earlier FW request to show single frame lines, and illustrating why this is not currently feasible. tjxism Posted February 5, 2017 Share #84 Posted February 5, 2017 [bUG FIX} If Exposure Meter is set to Multi-field. The image info displays Center-weighted. Also the INFO screen displays the same wrong info.
charlesphoto99 Posted February 5, 2017 Share #85 Posted February 5, 2017 Not sure if this has been mentioned yet: Ability to disable the LV button on the rear. I don't use it very often (or at all) and would rather not accidentally press it as has happened a few times. It could be a menu line that one can put in their favorites for quick access. And, as above, the ability to sort favorites menu.

hmathias Posted February 6, 2017 Share #87 Posted February 6, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) The electronic first curtain is used in conjunction with the focal plane shutter, i.e. the first curtain is electronic, the second mechanical. But in live view, there is no mechanical shutter involved to begin with, and thus no point in using an electronic first curtain. The shutter is always electronic in live view. Not a firmware issue. If there is no electronic level, no firmware update could change that. Very interesting. Do you know what the Live View shuttering sequences is in the M 10 (or the M 240) and/or the SL? I m not sure where the shutter delay is coming from?

dmwood Posted February 9, 2017 Share #89 Posted February 9, 2017 I too, would like to be able to set both bracketing and 2 second timer. I agree with pop that using a phone to remotely trigger the camera isn't always ideal. On my M240 I used the 2 second timer all the time on a tripod, and I don't really want the hassle of connecting my phone (and probably forgetting to turn the wifi off afterwards). I also miss the level. I don't know whether that is implemented using software or whether it needs some hardware that isn't in the M10.
Tmuussoni Posted February 9, 2017 Share #90 Posted February 9, 2017 (edited) I know this request will go most likely to deaf ears. But I wish Leica could finally overcome it's Achilles' heel and give us:- Bulb mode (longer than 2 min, no limitations like now or like with M 240 / M10 / M9 / M8 / S007 / Q)- Ability to disable Long exposure noise reduction Edited February 9, 2017 by Tmuussoni
Cliff S Posted February 9, 2017 Share #91 Posted February 9, 2017 Not that I really care, but video can probably be added to the favourites menu under shooting mode. So we'd have single, continuous, timer AND video. I think this is 'firmwareable' and not hardware limited.

Cliff - given Leica's comments about managing heat in the camera + the way everything is packed in, I'm not so certain that this would be the case. I agree that your implementation would be neat - having it as a shooting mode - but not sure about the technical feasibility. There's also the minor problem of the lack of any means for sound input. Having video but being dependent on synchronising a sound track from a separate device in post would be a less than tidy solution
Cliff S Posted February 10, 2017 Share #93 Posted February 10, 2017 I'm sure they'll be happy to sell a stereo mic that fits the hot shoe. For those fools and me that would make a video on an M10!

Cliff S Posted February 10, 2017 Share #95 Posted February 10, 2017 They already have on for the M240. Hot shoe connection.
Ario Arioldi Posted February 10, 2017 Share #96 Posted February 10, 2017 I would like to have the possibility to manually select the lens even if the mounted lens is recognized as coded (sometime it is not).

But that still wouldn't solve the heat issue as stated by Leica.
Cliff S Posted February 10, 2017 Share #98 Posted February 10, 2017 Hard to believe the heat issue if you can shoot 125 sec exposure as did the M240. Also, albeit slightly larger in size, it had no heat issues with video on the M240 If the M240 had 30 minute exposure and the M10 only 125, maybe I could be convinced. Well, you can believe whatever you want, but video is not coming to the M10.
