Can anyone recommend an EU dealer with a shorter waiting list than LeicaShop? I'm number 86 and hope to get my M10 sooner. I'm US based but ordering from EU suppliers for the price. Thanks!

I'm on that wait list as well but don't have a clue about where I stand. When did you place your order?

I ordered a black one on Jan 25 and they said 4-6 weeks but didn't tell me how long the wait list was.

Hannes Wahry at LeicaShop told me I'll be waiting 12-16 weeks for mine in either color.  :( I have 14 days to cancel that preorder so I may be looking around to see who has one sooner.

Around US$ 6780.

I don't know if they give discount but wouldn't expect that.

The price at my previous store in Germany is € 6500 (US$ 6878)

Well, the EU/UK dealers will deduct VAT for an order going to the US. That price is even more expensive than US dealers. Yikes!

If I find the wait to be up to 6 months for an M10, I will probably bail out of Leica altogether and return back to a Fuji X-Pro2.

I am oscillating between bailing out and throwing silly money at eBay dealers to get hold of an M10 quickly... will probably wait for it in the end...

I ordered my M240 in september 2012 on announcement day.  I was n°2 on the list of my Belgian dealer.  Camera was delivered  in June 2013 almost 9 months later.  I ordered my M10 on Jan 20th with the same dealer.  I was n°2 again on the list and got delivery on Jan 31st.

This just to give everybody hope things seem to have improved at Leica.

BTW Don't forget to order batteries and the EVF asap if you will need them.  Availability is even worse than the M10 itself

Randomly I have the EVF and a spare battery - no camera though!

Hmmmm

Seems to me that this is a perfect reflection of any kind of supplier (for anything under constraint) :

Some are making optimistic estimations

Some are making pessimistic estimations

Some are refusing to make any estimation.

But I suspect that the trouble is that Leica are cycling around the world doing deliveries . . but that it's tough to predict when and where the next deliveries will be ready, and safer not to raise the hopes of the dealers.

On the other hand - we're only a month in from the launch, and lots of people have cameras  -  here's hoping that they'll speed up!

worth mentioning that I don't have my camera yet either!
