Here's mine, taken with my Q: https://www.instagram.com/p/BMsDnqBAkAR/?taken-by=edwinwatkeys Expenses on what look like an R1200 GS probably add up quickly too I would bet. I like the wire rims. EDIT: Whoops, just realized that is Jager's bike. Yours looks really nice though too, what model is it? Can't say I've ever seen it. The VIN plate actually lists R1200 as the model. And just as expensive to work on!

Vec Posted February 13, 2017 Share #284 Posted February 13, 2017 (edited) There's something with Leicas and BMW boxer-engined bikes it seems, they go hand-in-hand too often... I have a '09 GS ADV myself. The beauty is that with the exception of certain things, they are easy to work on yourself. EDW, what's the issue with yours? The beauty is that with the exception of certain things, they are easy to work on yourself. EDW, what's the issue with yours? Oh, there was no issue except that I took it out for the first time in a couple months. I spent half of December in Paris, and it's been cold and wet. I went in for an oil change, and then I started looking at gear, and then all of sudden there's the service and a jacket and winter gloves and things started adding up. If I were in the country I'd do most of my own work, but I live in a walkup in the West Village and my tool roll stays rolled up in my closet. Yes, Leicas and Bimmers go great together. My friends think I'm insane to ride with my Q or M slung over my shoulder on my rides, but it's the only way to travel. nitrox1 Posted February 14, 2017 Share #287 Posted February 14, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) Order placed today at B&H for a black one. Let the wait begin. Hopefully I'll just forget about it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
uogood Posted February 14, 2017 Share #288 Posted February 14, 2017 (edited) Ordered a black one from B&H last week. The representative said it would take at least 6-10 weeks. I'm checking this thread every day to see any update from those who ordered in January. Edited February 14, 2017 by uogood
M10Alpine Posted February 14, 2017 Share #289 Posted February 14, 2017 All this seams very random. At the Leica store in Geneva, they have a list and they don't ask for any deposit. I asked to be taken off that list. The Leica store in Torino offers me a M10 on release week but logistics prevented me form picking it up. I ended up getting my M10 at Leica shop in Megeve (France), and I was told they would have 2 new in this week and no waiting list.

Its the lemmings rule...I have found over the last decade of digital M's that if you find a small dealer you can get your M pretty quickly. If you go to the obvious source or large dealer you wait a year.
marcg Posted February 14, 2017 Share #291 Posted February 14, 2017 There seems to be a predominance of people who haven't placed deposits, getting their cameras earlier.Of course, if you are a shop holding a load of money by way of deposits – then where is the incentive on anyone to supply cameras more quickly. He already sold you yours, you can wait another week, why not sell it to someone who will only buy it if he can walk out the store with it. There are impulse buyers who will buy it now but lose interest if it's not available
6bit Posted February 14, 2017 Share #293 Posted February 14, 2017 I wonder if Leica has throttled manufacturing to see what if any early problems appear. Then adjust and ramp up production. It seems no cameras are getting out.
IronLion Posted February 14, 2017 Share #294 Posted February 14, 2017 I just got a shipping notification from B&H! My black leather protector case is on the way...not the M10 but hopefully a positive sign, at least in some minor way? (was really excited there for a second when I got the email and before I opened it)

Cameras are shipping, I know several people that have received them in the past few weeks...keep in mind Leica is small and they ship worldwide.

Honda does the same thing with new model year designs. They keep production low and see what issues pop up over the first year and then adjust. Not a leap to believe Leica would do the same. Who knows what issues or features need some polish.
LeicaFFM Posted February 14, 2017 Share #297 Posted February 14, 2017 Leica is definitely shipping M10s. In the past 2 weeks I had several opportunities to buy one, but I am waiting for the M10-P.

roverover Posted February 14, 2017 Share #299 Posted February 14, 2017 Here is a Bump for the M10 order chart, it might be helpful if everyone interested participates: https://ethercalc.org/730accjq0n1t

Is that how it works? I believe deposits for preorders and typical manufacturing behaviors are not mutually exclusive.
