Summicron-M 50 v5

Hi Kwesi,

Thank you for your post but I respectfully draw your attention to the opening post in this thread, which defines 'older glass' as that "it should not be the current model".  The 50/2 Summicron version 5 is a lens that Leica continues to sell new and is therefore the current model.  I accept that there is confusion here with the 50/2 APO Summicron asph (which is also current).

Pete.

Hi Pete,

Thanks for pointing this out.

I noticed immediately after posting that it was in the wrong thread. I had meant to post in the Nifty Fifty thread. I was just about to delete it when  I noticed that Bags27 had commented so felt I should leave it.

Mods, please move my post to the Nifty Fifty Thread if that's possible.

M9M with the Elmar 50mm f3.5 Red Dial (1954). I missed this camera so much, happy that I was able to find a copy with the latest sensor recently (and fingers crossed it will never corrode lol)

I really like that first shot, composition, perspective, lighting and use of the flare just come together very nicely for me, well beyond my skill!
