Just a quick test of this tiny old and uncoated lens from ca. 1933, maybe a triplet used on an enlarger, just stopped down to f9 and some minor tweaks in C1

An image also posted to the "Vintage lenses on the SL" thread.  Contax Carl Zeiss 50/1.4 from the 1970s.  What is the difference between "vintage glass" and "older glass"?  Is there a date before which lenses become "vintage" (like cars)?

Two images taken on the Kent North Downs using the 1973 Elmar-C 1:4/90 (originally made for the Leica CL).  This is a remarkably good lens, sharp from wide open.  First at f/8, second at f/4.
