JeffoJeffo Posted September 10, 2012 Share #81 Posted September 10, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) @ JeffoJeffo - beautiful shots with that 150mm ! I really like the first of the two - great expression from your model! How is focussing those lenses on the S2 - I never get used to manually focussing lenses on a ground glass, as with a Leica M (RF is just so easy by comparison). All the lenses that I modified to fit S2 body are quite easy with MF. In fact, I find it more practical than the original S-lenses. S-lenses response quite slow (compare to other system). Perhaps I got used to MF and don't find Auto-focus that handy. Its just like using the another Leica-M system.

brianv Posted September 16, 2012 Share #95 Posted September 16, 2012 (edited) The serial number stamped into the optical fixture of this 1950 Jupiter-3 shows it was completed in April 1945. converted to Leica mount from Contax mount, focal length increased, optimized for F1.5 across the entire focus range, and in a focus mount modified to focus to 0.75m. farnz Posted September 16, 2012 Author Share #98 Posted September 16, 2012 M9-P with Carl Zeiss Jena 85/2 Sonnar in LTM at f/2.8. I've just received this lens and I had to take real care to make sure that it's not a 'Russian' conversion to LTM and I'm satisfied that it's not. Bona fide CZJ Sonnars in LTM are few but Russian copies are plentiful. I particularly like the gentle and gradual out of focus rendering of this lens, which is a Sonnar signature, in front and behind the lady with the marvellous smile. Pete. Lady in Red.
