The view through older Glass

Recommended Posts

Quick handheld test of the dedicated Amedeo adapter with a couple of 50mm Voigtlander Prominent lenses, both wide open on the M10. For those who are interested, this adapter allows RF coupling and, unlike other adapters I have tried (and returned), works flawlessly across the focus range.

First is a 1951 Ultron 50/2

And the 1952 Nokton 50/1.5

The odd lens testing day with the M10 continues. Apologies for the super-boring pictures, but I'm trying to understand the character of these lenses.

These are from a 1946 Kodak Ektar 47/2 converted to M mount with RF coupling.

More faucet & foliage... Last one, I promise, before I'm banned from this thread...

M10 + 1966 Voigtlander Septon 50/2 in DKL mount adapted to M (RF coupled). Again, wide open.

.

Not at all, Ecar, you're showing us some very unusual lenses and I am very grateful for that.  Please keep posting them.

Pete.

Thanks, Pete. Of course, that was tongue-in-cheek. But for some silly family reason I got stranded at home today, so I started taking pictures in the garden. Hopefully not my best work, but some valuable findings - e.g., I need to put those Prominent lenses in front of interesting subjects more often...

OK - here's a test shot from another unusual lens that's just returned from a long overdue CLA.

M10 + 1954 Fujinon 35/2 LTM @ f/2

Note the slight magenta cast on the top left corner (no 6-bit coding applied).

After viewing for a while, making my first post.  This from the Billy Graham Library in Charlotte NC last week.  Using the 2.8cm W-Nikkor·C f/3.5 LTM from the 1950's.  Mounted on M Typ 262.

All the best,

George
