Advertisement Posted April 20, 2018 Posted April 20, 2018 Hi Ecar, Take a look here The view through older Glass. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Exodies Posted April 20, 2018 Share #3902 Posted April 20, 2018 I would love to show you how much I LOVE my Leitz Summar 5cm F:2 LTM lens from 1938 as a coated version. The colors, the BOKEH at f:2 , such a joy; BUT, this website has a 500KB size, which is like 2005 capability. My Sony NEX 7 is a APS-C chip so 50x1.53= 76.5mm @ F:2/24 MEG. Thats far beyond this websites ability to upload. I wouldn't even dream of using the Sony A7r for this task as its 36 MEG. So, is their a way I can size down a photo on this site? https://www.flickr.com/photos/59361781@N03/41479610292/in/dateposted-public/ The pictures are just a distraction so should be kept as small as possible. We’re only here for the gear.

farnz Posted April 22, 2018 Author Share #3905 Posted April 22, 2018 The pictures are just a distraction so should be kept as small as possible. We’re only here for the gear. In case members unwittingly take Exodies's ironical comment* at face value, while we're interested in the lenses and cameras the pictures are very important because they can provide the 'signature' or 'look' offered by a lens so a larger, clearer picture is better. *No disrespect intended. Pete.
Ecar Posted April 22, 2018 Share #3906 Posted April 22, 2018 Of course you are right Pete. I doubt that the tongue-in-cheek nature of Exodies's comments would have been missed by other members, but who knows? Anyway, it made me smile at least.

james.liam Posted April 30, 2018 Share #3915 Posted April 30, 2018 Hexanon Dual! There's an idea for Leica. 28-50 BiElmar, or a 35-75, 50-90. Sweet combos for travel. ƒ/3.5 maximum aperture. For the counter-Noctilux crowd.
