Althoug not that old, I used a 12mm Ultra-Wide-Heliar on my M8 and really enjoyed it: no purple borders, less unsharp zone and still pretty wide

Hi, Ecar,

Is yours the original LTM version of the 50/1.4 Summilux or the first bayonet mount version please?  (I've been curious to know how the original LTM version renders.)

Pete.

Hi Pete,

Yes - I should have been more specific. This is the M mount version. IIRC, only a few hundreds (800?) of the LTM version were made - and copies in good condition are hard to find (and, of course, not cheap...)

Thanks Ecar.  I was simply curious.

I know that JC has one LTM version (if not more 😄) and it would have been interesting if yours was one too.  As far as I know they have the same optical computation so it would be interesting to see  comparison of their respective pictures.

Pete.
