Black kettles and pans. I have explained several times how the lack of an anti-halation layer in early film, and in some current films, contributes the so-called Leica Glow. You understand that or you do not.
Ecar Posted September 29, 2017 Share #3460 Posted September 29, 2017 (edited) I have explained several times how the lack of an anti-halation layer in early film, and in some current films, contributes the so-called Leica Glow. You understand that or you do not. Fine. But it seems to me that the purpose of this thread is simply to show images taken by old lenses on a given camera - whether film or digital - not to demonstrate their ability to produce glow or any other characteristic, or to make a particular point. As such, it can be fairly informative IMHO for those trying to understand the results from a particular lens/camera combination. Whilst many of the pictures shown here are really good, no one is asking for approval, comments or criticism either - the Photo Forum seems more appropriate for that. Also, I don't think anyone here interested in rehashing the old 'film vs. digital' debate... Edited September 29, 2017 by Ecar
