Late yesterday morning.  Initially, I slightly preferred the cropped version, which is what I envisioned as I quickly caught the shot while passing by.  Now I/m not so sure.

I prefer the cropped, looks like something the Beatles might have posed for!

I think they complement each other nicely; first the interesting composition in the top shot, then the surprise of the military (or are they police?) dudes in the second. Seems like there's always something interesting to photograph at Grand Central Station!

Jacques, T0m, Werner, Abi, Jeff, John & Pico - Thank you.

Philip - Thank you.  Armed and armored National Guard troops are in all high profile targets in NYC, as are local and state police.

I prefer cropped by clear!

@pico: I don't understand Your post. Sometimes I have a sense of curious humor too, but this is hohefully not meant as I might understand this post.

Thomas

p.s. looking at the picture I'm more & more disturbed by the clothing on the floor, I would have ask for permission to put them aside and take a new shot. In this case it would have been perfect.
But I see it's a snapshot caught with luck.

I see it this way.

Pico, it looks like you put cross-hairs on the soldiers.  This is inciting and offensive.  I'm not sure what your intention is but I hope someone deletes your reply.
