I'm not sure what you could do about it but that super hot spot really bothers me.

It's a good question. It's completely blown out, and the image is using the full dynamic range from black to white, so darkening it at the time of exposure would have left out other details. Suppose I could have had his shirt black. 

 

There are other framings of the same booth that eliminate the harsh light; I could pick one of those.
