Advertisement Posted December 31, 2016 Posted December 31, 2016 Hi Jayesh Mehta, Take a look here Saxophone. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
StS Posted January 1, 2017 Share #2 Posted January 1, 2017 I like the concept behind the first, however, the second picture is outstanding Stefan

Jayesh Mehta Posted January 1, 2017 Author Share #4 Posted January 1, 2017 Stefan and Stuart: Thank you both for your kind comments. I like both very much (of course I am biased - they are my pictures and it's my son!), but I prefer the first one! I always marvel at how people look at things differently. Although my son's first love is the saxophone, he's interested in photography too - and when we photograph together, I notice how he often interprets the situation somewhat differently despite similar equipment! SilentShutter Posted January 2, 2017 Share #5 Posted January 2, 2017 I like the concept behind the first, however, the second picture is outstanding Stefan I agree. The composition of the first picture is just amazing but allow me to make a suggestion. Crop and light up the shadows !

Jayesh Mehta Posted January 2, 2017 Author Share #7 Posted January 2, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) SilentShutter and Suuumm55: Thank you for the comments. Did you mean lighten the picture so there is some detail in the silhouette? And crop from the top or sides? My intention was to shoot the second picture when I saw him practicing with the white blind down silhouetted against the light. When I went closer to shoot, I saw the reflection in the LCD TV screen - and took the first picture (it's not a mirror). Jayesh
topoxforddoc Posted January 2, 2017 Share #8 Posted January 2, 2017 The cropped mirror image is great - like a triptych
Suuumm55 Posted January 3, 2017 Share #9 Posted January 3, 2017 SilentShutter and Suuumm55: Did you mean lighten the picture so there is some detail in the silhouette? And crop from the top or sides? Sorry, but i find the changes are obvious as far as the silhouette is concerned: a silhouette itself shows only outlines - it can not be more - whether now schematically or with more light influence - or sharp - all taste.......
