New guy needs advice on Leica purchase

I've a question for you gentleman.  I've an opportunity to purchase a gently used 90mm APO Summicron-M ASPH (11884) that's a couple of years old.  I've seen it and it looks flawless.  The fellow wants $2000 for it but I think he may take a little less.  Is this a good deal?
