D-109 Not Up to Leica Standards

I find my wife's 109 very good for what concerns image quality. If only the menus could be simplified!

The problem is when by accident she (or me when using it) hits an undesired key and changes something in the settings...

Yes, this drives me nuts. The Leica version of Panasonics should be stripped to the bare minimum, like the Q. The Q is superb.

On the 109, I have set function button two to disable the round selector on the back. I switch it on then try to remember to push F2 before I do anything else. Is there a way of permanently disabling it?

My biggest issue with the 109 is the exposure compensation dial, it is so easy to move it and not notice, second, I quite often manage to change the white balance without noticing I have done it.

The positives far outweigh these two bugs though.

Not a big deal to use custom settings folks. This way you can save your settings and press a mere function button to call them up at will. See page 60 of instruction manual below. As for the exposure compensation dial, mine works the same way as on my other cameras. I have but a Pana Lx100 but its D-Lux clone works the exact same way i suspect.
